Dog Collars

A collar should be snug but comfortable. You should be able to slip two fingers flat between the collar and your dog's neck. Any looser and it can slip over the head; any tighter and it's uncomfortable. Check the fit regularly for growing puppies and for dogs whose coat thickens with the seasons, and adjust as needed. Our collars come in S, M, and L with an adjustable range, so you can dial in the right fit.

Our Print Collars are made from durable polyester webbing, so cleaning is simple: hand wash in warm water with a little mild soap, scrub gently to lift dirt from the weave, rinse, and let it air dry completely before putting it back on. For quick touch-ups, a damp cloth does the trick. Skip the bleach and the dryer to keep the print vibrant and the hardware in good shape.

For a puppy, look for lightweight, adjustable, and comfortable. Our Print Collars in size S are a great start, made from soft-but-durable polyester webbing with secure hardware. Since puppies grow fast, check the fit often and size up as needed. A new pup also means a whole walk kit: we'd pair the collar with a matching leash and a No-Pull Harness for training, plus a personalized ID tag so your little one's info is on them from day one.

Start with fit and everyday function. Measure your dog's neck and choose the size that lands mid-range on our adjustable collars, so there's room to fine-tune. From there it's the details we obsess over: durable polyester webbing that holds up to daily wear, secure hardware, and a print you'll actually enjoy seeing on every walk. If your dog pulls, keep the collar for ID and tags and add a harness for walks — a collar's job is comfort and identification, not steering.

Different jobs. A collar sits around the neck and is ideal for holding ID tags and for everyday wear and quick trips outside. A harness wraps around the chest and shoulders, spreading leash pressure away from the neck; the safer, more comfortable choice for walks, especially for pullers, small breeds, and flat-faced dogs. We make both because most dogs need both: a collar for identification, a harness for walking. Bonus:  many of our customers keep theirs coordinated in matching prints.

Honest answer: for walking, we'd point you to a harness over any collar. A collar concentrates pressure on the neck, which can strain the throat and trachea if a dog lunges or pulls,  so for walks, our Reversible or No-Pull Harness is the safer choice. Keep a well-fitted collar on for ID and tags, and if you do walk on a collar, use a flat, properly sized one (never loose enough to slip off) clipped to a standard leash.
