🐾 Indoor Adventures: Fun Things to Do with Your Pup When It’s Too Hot Outside

When the summer sun is blazing and the sidewalks feel more like stovetops, it’s time to bring the fun indoors! Just because it’s too hot for fetch in the park doesn’t mean you and your pup can’t enjoy a playful, tail-wagging day together. Whether you’re chilling in the AC or seeking shade from the heatwave, here are some of our favorite indoor activities to keep your dog happy, entertained, and cool as a cucumber.

1. Tug-of-War or Hide-and-Squeak

Time to turn your living room into a playground! A good old-fashioned game of tug-of-war or a round of “hide the squeaky toy” is a great way to burn off some energy without leaving the house. 

2. Puzzle Toys and Treat Challenges

Keep their mind sharp (and belly happy) with a puzzle toy or snuffle mat. You can even DIY one by hiding treats inside a rolled-up towel or muffin tin covered with tennis balls. Watching your pup work to find every last crumb is half the fun.
